    Grand Junction mountain biking

Awesome info! On another topic, my brother lived there about 10 years ago as a missionary and said there was this awesome waterfall/swim area somewhere out near Fruita maybe? He didn't swim it, but has since said he wants to go back and swim it. Do you have any idea what I might be talking about?

    Grand Junction mountain biking

I'm not sure if there are any other members here besides IntrepidXJ, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the single track in Grand Junction and if they can offer any advice for me to ride with 2-4 hours of time in the evenings and/or mornings? I'll be there later this month and...

Kolob Canyons, Buckskin Gulch, The Wave Nov. 5-7, 2011

Awesome TR. So from that Panoramio photo, where exactly were you trying to come down? I'm assuming somewhere toward the deep middle of the picture as the foreground cliffs don't look too steep.

    Awesome TR and awesome pictures.

    Settlement Canyon

That's great to know. You never know going up there. Kind of sad that there is so much un-used and they can control that area. I would spend more time up Butterfield if there was any place to camp that wasn't blocked by a big ugly cement barrier spray painted "stay out".

    Settlement Canyon

Our church had a father's and son's campout over the weekend. It was located up Settlement Canyon, which is located just outside of Tooele. I actually found the canyon itself really beautiful and despite all the large trailers, I found a few great campsites that would be great for a one-night...

First Time lapse attempt with my GoPro

Camped off the Oak Grove Rd down in Southern Utah (West of Leeds, UT). I've never done Time Lapse and actually don't really know what settings are best. Had this one set to do a picture ever second I think?? What are some suggestions for time lapse? I learned from this one that I should have...

    Lower Eardley July 2007

Awesome TR. I did it two years later in June and the pools were not as full as when you did it. They were cold, but not too cold. We pulled ours off in a full day but I remember just being so worn out that by the 1.5 mile slog bag through straight wash, none of us were really talking at all; we...

    Upper Black Box

Awesome TR. Another bucket list hike (both upper and lower) I'd love to do. Nice to see a TR on something in the Swell that you don't see a ton of TR's on. Thanks for posting!

    Dog Lake

You'll still find snow up higher, but not too bad. I hiked up to Red Pine lake last week in little cottonwood and trudged through snow at the lake in shorts and tennis shoes.

    California trip April 2012

Day 1-3 This trip had been planned out for some time. Bill and I have ties to the Sacramento area; I was born and raised in a small town in the foothills called Eldorado, and Bill spent a lot of time there visiting his dad and grandparents as he grew up, so we both have various reasons to go...

    Heaps Canyon

Awesome shots and description of the canyon. So Heaps provides the water fall during high runoff into Emerald Pools? I was there last April and it was flowing pretty crazy. I'm sure Heaps was closed off during that time.

What length of rope did you bring with you?

    Goblins Lair

WOW. About 4-5 years ago I was exploring deep into Goblin with my wife, son and nephews and came upon this DEEP shaft that scared the crap out of us. Was this the lair?

    Keg Knoll and Horseshoe Canyon

Moonshine should be very doable for a solo hiker. There are a few scrambles that I remember being bigger when I visited it the second time, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back and solo hike that canyon on my own. They're pretty moderate up/downclimbs (8-10') if I remember right and you don't need...

    Chimney Canyon

Thanks man! That is exactly where I thought you went. That "music of chimney canyon" area sounds awesome.
