Well hello, spring!

I'll be doing boat work this weekend but intend to get south next weekend. Hopefully the weather holds.

Ah-ya! Antlerking and I are leaving for the Paria @ 4am tomorrow! Other than getting up at 3am I'm stoked!

Zion for me! Wed-Sat will be enjoying some canyons and some hikes with family and friends!

headed to Salida, CO for some sweet snowboarding/hot springs then southern utah for climbing! canyoneering! biking! six day weekend!!!!!!!!!! stoke-o-meter is off the charts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So awesome. Looks like this place will be a ghost town this weekend! :D
...except for me. :(
home project on sat. maybe the sportmans expo if i can squeeze it in.
however all is not lost if all goes to plan on saturday... sunday will be a morning ski-tour (please let there be corn) followed by afternoon rock climbing on the warm southfacing granite in LCC.

heading to Joshua Tree NP in a few hours and after that meet pixie1339 on Friday and explore Valley of Fire SP and Little Finland over the weekend. The forecast is awesome, mid 80s to low 90s :frantic:

I'm kinda pissed off about our forecast, actually. It's too hot!!! :hot: 90 degrees on Friday? More like, hello summer. The temps are normally in the 70's this time of year.

Yup. I'm just as sick and tired of winter and snow and ice and cold as I could be. But I'll need some time to ease into the 90's. That would be just a bit too much, too fast, right now.

Agreed! Easing into the heat is so much easier than being bitch slapped by it. It's about 67 here today and that feels plenty warm to me since it's our warmest day so far this year.

I will be cleaning and putting away my snow gear, shoes, and skis so I can make room to bring out the summer stuff!! Also plan to hit the St. Patties parade here in Denver for some Guinness and Jamie and good times. Work has been pretty gnarly so I can't seem to find a few days to get down to Southern Utah until week 16.

It was hot, way too hot for hiking. I had 92F in Joshua Tree NP, the coldest day was 86F. I really love the warm temps, but everything above 90 degree is too hot for hiking.

I think I found the sweet spot on this crazy spring weekend. It was just warm enough to go running for the swimming holes and just cool enough to half way zip up my bag at night. Perfect except for the bits of extreme wind and that part where I got rained on with no tent or coat.
