I have to say I'm also drawn to #49. I like the little swoop underneath the cairn, and the box around the entire design kind of holds it all together. I would move the .com to below so it reads horizontally. But, if I had to choose right now I'd still stick with #40 with the new font

both mock up versions of 40 look good. i'm drawn more to the original logotype - has more character & is bolder than the more traditional font.

I might not have to. After today, the design contest moves into the finalist round Where only the top designers continue. From there I'm thinking of narrowing it down and possibly even putting it up for a vote.

I got to say #40 with original font is still my fave, but #42 minus the swoops is pretty sweet. I like the hiker concept.

So do you specifically prefer the 3 rock stack to the 4 rocks? I kind of like the logotype of 33 but I'm not sure on the rocks... it's growing on me though.

After looking - I actually like the 4 rock stack better - but with the current lineup - I wuold say 37 matches up best - perhaps the box around the cairn could be slightly thinner? not too much, maybe a pixel or two?

I really dislike the large rectangle around #49 - makes it seem amateurish.

I do prefer the existing logo-type. It has a little more impact than the others presented. - the more simple font makes it look like you took backcountry.com and added post to it and called it a day imo.

After looking at it over and over I think that I agree with FourisTheNewOne on this, but I wouldn't throw out #42 yet that might look really cool with the original font.

I prefer the #53 with the caIrn out of the box (inside the box, it makes me think indoor and not outoor). The font and the bicolor design are OK, but I'd prefer the .com under the ST like in #40 (if POST is grey, .com under ST could be brown).

I pretty much totally agree. Although I kind of like the circle in #57...

What do the rest of you think about the .com placement? Sideways like in 53 or under the ST like in #40?
