Hi all! I'm Renee, from SE Michigan, just starting out in hiking/backpacking. My family used to go camping regularly when I was a kid, but I haven't done much of that as an adult. I think I'll be lurking in these forums a lot! :)
 
Welcome. I left the Detroit area 40 years ago to move to Utah.

Welcome Renee! For a random state in the midwest, MI sure does have a lot of hikers and backpackers. I grew up in GR and moved out west five years ago. Post some trip reports from the Mitten!!
 
Welcome Renee. Regular reader, irregular poster. Born and raised in the UP, now in Wisconsin, nd love hiking out west, although different reasons prevented it this past year. Can't wait to explore Isle Royale, a bucket list item. Now jobless, so my hiking and backpacking may be restricted to the state I live in for a while, but hope you can get out and about and enjoy the great outdoors.
 
Welcome. I enjoyed visiting the dunes along Lake Michigan when I lived nearby.
