The dogs on the porch at the Bitterroot Stock Farm, Hamilton, Montana. This is an old Montgomery Ward kit house. These were like the Sears kit houses and sold in the 1920s for around $1500.

It was my home. That's what is left. A year later and still steaming
But I'm glad I could see it and finally have closure.
I'm surprised the gate is still there.
I also have to admit it looked pretty eerie
A couple shots taken while going to my mailbox. I have always taken pride in living in the desert of southwestern Utah but still having a mountain range looming.

That’s what happens when you live on an active volcano. I’m glad I saw it so I now can move on.
There are still a lot of beautiful spots out here to explore.

actually, right now I'm okay. I saw my place and it helped.
I knew it could happen. And when it happened I know the house was gone but I haven't seen it until now.
That was definitely needed to get closure so I can move on now.
I guess it is the same process when someone loses a house to a wildfire.
Remembering Memorial Day. From my front yard.
