Guess the Spot: International Edition

this thread has depleted my international spots. any one?

For eight summers we sailed a small boat up and down the coast of BC. The trips lasted up to 2 months.

While we made it far north some seasons, one of the most iconic cruising destinations is close to Vancouver. Here we are at the last anchorage before the crucially timed arrival at the tidal rapids guarding the entrance.

With all these hints, naming the place should be easy.

Oh.. I remember some place with a whirlpool forming in a narrows and being a ship killer at the wrong time. Now where did that memory go. So, north of the San Juan's then?

Are you thinking of Hecate Strait? That was my first thought, but I think Hecate is too far north.

There are a bunch of passages called "Passes," Like Active Pass, but I wouldn't know which one it might be.

While tidal rapids guard numerous places on the BC coast- the "iconic destination" hint, and the high mountainous terrain in the background, make me think that we are looking at Jervis Inlet, near the entrance to Princess Louisa Inlet.

..and we have a winner! Our 21' yawl is anchored across from the Malibu entrance rapids to Princess Louisa Inlet.

I had an advantage- I grew up not too far away in Powell River, with sailing parents who owned numerous boats, from sailing dinghies up to a 48 foot oceangoing ketch, so have spent a fair bit of time cruising the BC coast. I now prefer sea kayaking to yachting, and thought about posting another coastal pic in that vein, but am going to keep this easier as I will be away, with sporadic cell access for several days. Hopefully I can confirm a correct answer at some point.
