Unfortunately, we are under a winter storm. An inch of fresh already. Could take the wind out of your sales, if you let it.

I know I have it in my backyard too tonight. But... my friends are crazy enough to want to go next weekend and I am even crazier for being willing to go. My tent has been repaired and returned, snow or no snow I am in for squeaking one more night under the stars before this year ends.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I seem to remember you sleeping in your truck :disagree:

Doesn't matter, you can sleep in your truck or wherever you want. It is a state of mind thing...

BTW where are your pics of your camp spots?

In my truck was sleeping bag on pad in the back of the truck....NO camper shell or roof over me .....just Stars...... Hehe, try again. I'll load pics when in ogden

Artemus, it is Red Wall Canyon in theGrapevine Mountains of Death Valley National Park. NPS has info on it at the Visitor Center. If you check my TR link I have maps attached. I really love the polished metamorphic rock of the narrows in Death Valley Canyons. They aren't exactly slots but there are some shallow slots in other parts of Death Valley in a rock more like tuff.

Dang @Tipi Walter, you've got the life!

Here is an update to the race to the ground in a sleeping bag, or equivalent. I stretched it to 6 places in order to see myself.

1) 164 Tipi Walter, obviously he is not afraid of a little snow. That doesn't leave a lot of nights to shower.
2) 68 John Morrow, reported in and rose right onto the podium
3) 52 George_Washington_Hayduke, probably out sand-bagging
4) 51 Bob, although we are still giving him a pass even though he provided no evidence
5) 48 Artemus, and coming on
6) 47 IntrepidXJ, done for the year, yeah right. Randy seems to have bumped up his game with a new camping companion :)

We are coming down to the wire. Get out, people!
