Winter

Bob, now that is cold! Have been in those temps before in Jackson and no thanks. Stay warm and well!

Here today in Southwest Arizona it will be in the mid 60s, and 70s forecast for all of next week, sun and warmth.

AND ....... those interested. They have a bike, ski, run race here every year. Fell this weekend. They bivy out and it was at least minus 35.....

Some shots from xc skiing the Fan Creek area a week ago. We stopped and did 5-6 miles on our way down to Grand Targhee. Pretty weak and very crusty coverage for early February in this part of the park, but they've gotten a foot or more since this at least. Usually one of the snowiest parts of northern Yellowstone.

I had read that there was a lot more falling south of here. Great news!

Targhee got about a foot in the two days we were there. Best skiing I've had all season.

Was at deer valley last weekend. Rain all Friday. Then about 4 in snow. Was bad. Wasn't skiing, volunteer worker for the freestyle championship. Was going to ski Saturday but was crappy. Have to get to Targhee sometime

Good to see the snow coming into the Rocky Mountain States. Do know parts of Montana and Idaho could really use it. Wyoming and the Absarokas are getting some good snow. Yea! But here in the desert southwest, it is full spring. Now with the rain this winter the desert floor here near Organ Pipe Cactus NM is covered in green plants and now the flowers are appearing. The other day saw at least a dozen different wildflowers out and about here near Ajo and Why, Arizona.

Ended today with 16 inches...... not bad. We are now almost to normal

I am happy you are getting all of that snow. God knows we need the water.

Spring is arriving (maybe) ...... with a week of 4 plus forecast for here

Projecting up to 2' of snow here over the next 36 hours - but based on the rain coming down at the moment, it's gonna be dense, slushy stuff. We'll see.

No!
I need it to stay cold in your neck of the woods.
Stillwater is at 2500 CFS and I want it stay right there, at least for the next 2 weeks.

Looking pretty grim up here also. Winter so far has not given me much hope for a turnaround later this month or in April. Guess it's time to dust off and tune up the gravel bike.
