My wife and I want to go check out the Newfoundland Mountains and West Desert, perhaps camp a night and hike to the top of Desert Peak. I am looking for information on how best to get there from the North. I have seen some stuff online about heading out towards the Golden Spike and then from there it gets a bit vague. If anyone has suggestions on what maps I should be referencing that would also help.
