Exposure along Grapevine Canyon on the Tonto Trail

I am putting together a couple of itineraries for a spring break backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon. One of the routes would take us past Grapevine Canyon on the Tonto Trail. I have read that there is significant exposure along this section. Does anyone on here know how bad the exposure is and how dangerous that section of trail would be? I am taking my 14 year old son who is not a fan of exposure and want to be fairly confident he could make it safely through that area, both mentally and physically.

I've done it three times. I don't think you have any thing to worry about. If you're on the trail you have zero risk of falling off a cliff.

The stretch around Grapevine isn't realistically any different from the rest of the trail.

Videos on YouTube don't look as bad as the Blue Springs route. Looks like there's an actual trail, just lots of exposure.
