Three days in Yosemite, camped in North Pines campground. Yeah, it rained some. But there were far more empty spaces than cars in the parking lots. No lines anywhere for anything. Trails were peaceful. Lovely.

We even managed to see a few things we'd not visited before--after countless trips to the park.

Looks like my photos are too large to post--but there's a link above.

Pretty pictures. Interesting how there's almost nothing yellow there, while on the east side of the mountains it's aglow everywhere.

Looks like there is not much, or no snow in the high country as of yet? I think I see Hoffman and Tenaya in the far distance behind your pictures up Tenaya Canyon. I guess that is "semi high" country by Sierra standards. Late October/early Nov nights get really cold up there! That I remember from my one backpack in the Sierra this time of year.

It snowed up there while we were in the park,. Hoffman is over 10,000 feet, but sits out west of the crest. Cloud's Rest had snow on top of it as a result of the rain we experienced. And they closed Sonora Pass for a day or so as well. You can see snow in the mountains in the background of the photo of the helipad...

What has happened that Wix no longer lets users share photos on their blogs? Seems extremely counter-intuitive for them. Is it now locked behind some paywall?

Some rain is a plus in my book :)

Wixd has notified me that my backpacking site, which has lots of photos, is now beyond the scope of my user plan. And they want a lot more money to upgrade my plan. I have 4GB of photos on my site--they want me to reduce that to 2GB before they'll allow me to post any new photos.

All of this after they initially told me there was no limit to the number of photos I could post. But I have had photos on every blog post for ten years. That's a lot of phots....
