Yellowstone moves to Stage 1 fire restrictions

Had a feeling it was inevitable, but they moved to Stage 1 restrictions today (effective Saturday the 27th).

There are ample storms in the forecast tonight into tomorrow, but not much else in the immediate forecast other than heat and dry air. So, I'm guessing they'll be in effect for awhile (including the entire time I'm up there August 2-9th).

They said they had to rescue quite a few backcountry hikers in Jasper Nal Park and a lot of them had Inreach or sat phones. So I guess the best one can do is have a good communication device so if there are fires around you can get more Intel or communicate on getting out.
