Hello All and thanks for excellent input on the class 4 slot. What a great resource! We're planning a trip that enters at Wolverine Cyn and exits at Deer Ck in mid Oct. I know it's been a wet month out there.
In the event of rain, I'm wondering about the drive-ability of the 10 mile road to Wolverine TH. Sat views show it running up a wash for a ways, and crossing other washes. I'd hate to get my Subaru Forester stuck up there while we're out. Is there clay? Other problems post-rain?
Also, how hard is the hitching from Burr Trail to the Wolverine TH around Oct 20? Is it unlikely that we;d get a ride then?
One idea is to drop packs at the TH and then backtrack and stash the car 5 miles up the Wolverine Road (37.88500, -111.22504) and run the last 7 miles to the trailhead. Would the car be safe from water in that location?
Another idea is to cache a bike at the Burr Trail jct and ride up to the car after the trip.
