I am looking at going to the wind rivers at end of June. I wanted to know if anyone has gone in June before and what conditions are likely to be? Specifically to titcomb basin.

Thats typically the earliest you would want to go in there. Depends on how much snow melts in the next 3 weeks. Probably doable but there will likely still be lots of snow. Microspikes will be helpful if you plan to do anything other than the normal trails.

https://soaratlas.com/discover will have some up to date sat imagery to help guide you. You need to make an account.

I'd wait till mid July. Snow high and on North facing slopes and in shade. Water is high if you have any crossings. Boggy ground in places. But I'm sure people go then......

I wouldn't attempt that early it myself, even after this poor of a snow year. The high elevations in that region have actually retained snow pretty well this season. The northern Winds have better high elevation snowpack right now than they did on this date last couple of years, interestingly.

Right around mid July, maybe occasionally early July, is usually the earliest reasonable time to go unless you're prepared for snow travel. And if you go in July, the bugs are rough. The worst I've ever experienced backpacking for sure haha. Beautiful though!
