Nice catch........

Great kitty shots!
For many years, at least one cow-calf pair of moose have been wintering in this coulee that is sandwiched between suburbia on one side, and a 6 lane freeway on the other. The trails in the valley bottom are very well used by dog walkers, runners and bikers, but the moose are unfazed by that. It was great to see them back!

Rain here..... 40 degrees

Great Kitty Shots! Wow! What an Experience!

This morning wandering around here in Ephraim, Utah had a Bald Eagle fly over which is always so nice. Almost like 60 degrees here today. Wow!

About 500’ in front of the cabin, out on the ice and along the shore of one of the two big islands, directly in my view, the crows like to gather in the late afternoon some days. They perch on branches, they jockey for position on a big rock, they take snow baths, they chase each other around on the wing, they socialize in pairs and groups, just hanging about. Anywhere from a few to over 30 in number. I get a pretty good view with the 8X binoculars. Recently past on a lovely sunny afternoon the huge flock was spread out over there doing their thing and a mid sized healthy but slim looking coyote arrived amongst the birds. It definitely wanted to eat one. Not frenzied at all, neither crows not coyote, but it would saunter towards a little group and they would hop back, and the coyote would stand there or sit down, look around, wait and move towards another group, crows would dive down on it and it would hop up and snap at them. This went on for around half an hour before the crows started to thin out and coyote gave up, then it walked behind my little island, curved around and made a pass along the shore on the ice just over 150’ in front of the cabin. It paused and looked directly up here before moving on.
