Wahweep Hoodoos access road

With the recent changes to GSENM boundaries the admin road just upstream from the Wahweep Hoodoos is no longer within the monument. Is there any reason that this road would still be closed to the public?

I can't speak for the monument management, of course, but when I ran into one of their rangers out on the trail in December, he said they'd had a department meeting after the boundary change announcement that assured all employees their jobs would remain the same and things would not change in the general boundary makeup of the whole area (at least until there was more information at some later date, I guess). If you want to be sure, though, you should call them and ask. I think for Wahweap that should be the Big Water visitor center, 435-675-3200.
