This weekend last year we scored the sweet spot of enough snow melted to walk the trail/camp easily but before the mosquitoes came out. We went to Naturalist Basin including climbing up to the divide between there and Middle Basin (as per photo below taken on June 19, 2015).

We would really like to do a similar trip this weekend and I am not sure from the Uinta Conditions 2016 post whether there is more snow about than this time last year. Any suggestions of a suitable place to go at this time of the year? I was thinking Amethyst Lake or Grandaddy Basin? Any other ideas?

Definitely more snow this year than last, but it's melting fast. Any passes over 10,000 feet are probably still holding some snow. Amethyst was iced over two weeks ago, but might be mostly clear by now. Bugs have not been bad above 9,000 on my last two visits, but they were on in force below that.
