I have a group of 6 or 7 experienced backpackers looking for suggestions for a backpack trip in the High Uintas of approx. 30 miles over 6 days with one layover day. Most trips done in the Sierras so no knowledge at all of the Uintas. A few decent fishing spots a plus. Since we are coming from California we would probably rent a van in Salt Lake and drive to the trailhead. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Ralph Perry

I did a loop from the East Forks of the Blacks Fork TH in 2011. I went to dead Horse Lake, back tracked a little went back over pass to Lambert meadow, next night camped just below porcupine Pass. I then went over the unnamed pass to Red Castle Lake. last day we completed the loop over bald mountain back to TH. All in all it was 7 days with a layover day due to bad weather.
