Trip daydreaming

I have no reason to post this except to say that my fall Utah trip is just a matter of a few WEEKS away and I am coming out of my skin thinking about it! I can barely work! I'm sitting here at a coffee shop between blah blah meetings and all I can think about is getting the hell outta steaming SoCal and hitting the road. I'll be going from one end of the state (Canyonlands for my first solo backpack, though it won't be much) all the way through Capitol Reef to Zion, where I am going to meet up with @Miss Buffalo, taking pictures anywhere and everywhere along the way. It's going to be all pictures, all the time-woohoo! Is it any wonder I can't get anything done?

That sounds like an awesome trip. I know what you mean about the wait, but the trip will come before you know it. It feels like just yesterday that a hiking trip to Utah was just "an idea" and in about 15 hrs I'll be boarding a plane at JFK airport NYC with my hiking gear to come get a taste of Utah hiking. Planning is part of the fun so just enjoy the anticipation.
