Awesome! Definitely feels like its worth the detour. Do you know if the park has any specific regulation against walking on that soil? Because we'll be documenting our trip, I don't want to get caught with my pants down if we record ourselves committing a faux pat! The appeal of going up there is obviously to be able to explore an area like that off trail, unlike the restricted boardwalk areas along the roads.

Not sure what the regulations are for Brimstone. Just document from the edge of the basin looking into it, then enjoy your stroll through.
