Hey
We are a slow moving group (8 campers) of seniors doing the Teton Crest Trail this year. We are debating the starting point. We are ending at Jenny Lake. We prefer to keep mileage under 8 per day if we can.

Debating Granite Canyon, Philips Bench or Mount Glory starting points. Given that we need to stay in a group site when in the park it looks like Granite Canyon requires a 5 mile then a 9 mile day. Philips bench looks like 9 miles on day 1 and 5 miles on day 2. I am unsure of the miles for Mount Glory. Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I have included my Crest Route, the blue line. Yellow are alternate routes. We did the entire route NOT staying in the Park. You can see the Phillips part. Mt Glory will kill you if you are not used to steeps and elevation (and its way higher to go than Phillips Pass). My mileages are there. We started at the Grassy Lake TH and went North to South. You can also start at Coal Creek TH (in Yellow) instead of Phillips TH. Phillips is heavily used anymore.

Ignoring the North section of the Park is a mistake..... just sayin. Phillips Pass (Coal Creek) to Marion Lake is very scenic.

I hiked a similar route as @Bob going S to N. Camped near Ski Lake, Moose Lake, Fox Creek Pass and near Hurricane Pass, all outside the Park. Came out at Jenny Lake. Day lengths were ~2.5 mi, 8 mi, 5 mi, ~9 miles and to Jenny Lake was ~ 9 miles.
