Zion it is. Kolob Terrace region.

Thank you. The photo was taken from South Guardian Angel. It took me three tries over seven years but I finally made it to this remote peak.

Thanks for revving this thread back up, @zionsky ! So many great photos and I definitely killed an hour this morning scrolling through them all.

Here are a few of my favorites from the archives!

This is looking back at the Three Apostles from the top of Huron Peak (14,012 ft), July 2018. Huron's a pretty 'easy' and straightforward 14er, but the road to get to its base is one of the worst I've ever driven. The views from the top, though, are perhaps the best in all of Colorado.


A photo I snapped of my good buddy George atop Wetterhorn Peak (14,021 ft) in Colorado's Uncompahgre Wilderness in August 2020 looking east with Matterhorn Peak (13,596 ft) and Uncompahgre Peak (14,316 ft) in the background. Hazy San Juans!

I would agree. It took me about 11 hours to complete. The return climb out of the left fork was brutal.
