A group of us old geezers from the Houston TX area have been doing 2 -3 backpacking trips a year for a number of years mostly in Utah and Arizona area. Having said that we are looking for new ideas for a April or possibly May hike. We have done several GC hikes including R to R, Thunder River, Hermit - Boucher, Grand Gulch in Cedar Mesa, Fish and Owl Cedar Mesa, Coyote Gulch in the Escalante to name a few. Just running out of ideas. We are not getting younger but are experienced hikers who do not like to be pack mules carrying gallons of water. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good 3 - 4 day hike covering maybe 25 or so miles? As our travel distance is an obstacle we do like to have a plan before we start.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Death Hollow, from the Boulder Mail trail down to the Escalante River is a fantastic trip.

Joey's suggestion is a good one. It's times like this that I just start picking off other places near where I've been. You've done Coyote, so now move on to Willow/Forty, Davis/Fifty, Llewellyn/Cottonwood, Choprock/Silver Falls, The Moodys, Boulder Creek, etc., etc. And that's just on the Escalante!

Than ks - have considered this one. Have heard that there is some swimming??? Is that true?

Thanks - will look some more in the Escalante - It is a great area.

Only if you fall in. There is one spot where you have to crawl along a ledge that's a few inches under water. Here is a photo looking back upstream, the right side, past the small falls is what you have to come down.

Another good one is Little Death Hollow and Wolverine Canyon.
