Can we do something about the huge amount of spam today, maybe stop allowing posts by people who have only registered in the last day or two?

Not sure who are still moderators and would be able to do this???

There was a huge wave yesterday that got taken care of pretty quickly. I assume this wave will disappear also. Clearly the spam filters need to be updated.

I think I got them all for now - will keep an eye out. @Nick will hopefully be able to adjust the filters.

I saw yesterdays early on....Today's was later, looked like from same bot. Nick got yesterdays earlier.....

This spam wave has been pretty crazy. I've been traveling but I'm back at my desk today and I'll see what I can do to stop them before they turn into posts.
