Shoreline Car Camping Suggestions

I want to head out and do a weekend of car camping, paddling and fishing. Trying to think of places within 2-3 hours of Salt Lake that would be good for that. I want primitive car camping, close to the water. I'd prefer not to be surrounded by a ton of people but don't mind having neighbors. A quality kayaking experience is the top priority but it would be nice if the fishing was good too. 4WD friendly is not a problem.

Any suggestions?

Look into the Bear River.
The Elgin Town Park might allow camping
Petersen Park does with prior arrangements. It might be easiest to find solitude there once school starts though.
Pretty good fishing for cats and occasional other species.

Could look in the Whitney Lake area too.

Super worth it if you haven't seen it.
