Howdy folks! Been a long time.
I am looking for information on the best place to set up base camp for a few folks to gravel ride at elevation on Skyline Drive. I do not know the area. We need to train at elevation for an adventure in Colorado later this month (Durango to Moab). Is there ample dispersed spots, is it crazy crowded? I plan to drive down Monday July 14 and stay until July 19. My group is joining me on the 17th.
I have read the south route of Skyline is more rugged, is it too rugged for a Subaru Forester?
Because you all like photos. I offer Freda Serotonin on her maiden bikepack adventure up in Logan, Utah to see Old Ephraim's Grave last year.
