Greetings from interior Alaska. I'm planning a backcountry trip in North Cascades in early October and was wondering if i should fly into Bellingham or Seattle to best access the park without a vehicle. If anyone has any recommendations on bus companies or public transportation to streamline my way there I would greatly appreciate it. Your time, effort, and opinions do not go unnoticed regarding this matter. Thanks!

Public transit into the park itself does not exist. I would would join one of the FB groups for the PCT as they have a lot of good info and you may be able to catch a ride for a fee from someone heading into the North Cascades NP. Word of warning that is often snows in October up there so be prepared. I have hiked in a few snowstorms in October up there.

There is quite abit of transportation also from Seattle to Bellingham. There is a local light rail near the airport in Seattle that one can take to downtown. Then Amtrak runs from Seattle to Bellingham or Amtrak buses. Have taken this before and is Great! There! Lots of the counties in Washington have good transportation. Think Skagit County has regular public transportation at least as far as Darrington and Concrete. And do see that they have a local bus up to Marblemount also. See Fossana's post above. And check the local public transportation for all the counties here in Washington.
