Some of you may have heard about the dog that was found deep in a slot back in 2010. The guy who rescued him wrote a book about it and released this video with some clips from the rescue and his recovery. Worth watching, especially if you're a sucker for puppies like I am.

Is it just me, or is that one of the closed canyons on the res? Like maybe Kaibito or Peach or something... maybe the dog was put there by a local? Weird. Cool that he saved the dog.

I'm not sure, but it does seem like that might be a res canyon. Stray dogs are a big problem there but I seriously doubt anyone put the dog there. Seems more likely it got swept down there during a flood event. I'd sooner believe a pup could survive riding through a slot in a flood than someone would go to the trouble to transport a dog down a canyon and then leave it in a pothole. But yeah, totally cool that he saved him.
