Red Cliffs Après Work Scramble

Location: Red Cliffs Desert Reserve (Harrisburg, UT)
Trailhead: Red Reef

Today after work I did a quick hike/scramble up the ridgeline above the moki steps in Quail Creek Canyon and heading NW toward Dicks Canyon before the clouds rolled in. Very approximate route:


Quail Creek near the moki steps, right after which you leave the canyon.


Looking east toward Hurricane Rim, Zion and Eagle Crags. Also another ridgeline I'd like to do.


View NW toward the Pine Valley Mountains.


Looking west toward the cliffs below Yant Flat.

Nice! You know what they say, working is all about the apres-work. Or something like that. The traverse between eagle crags and Colorado city across the Canaan Mtn Wilderness is on my short list. Looks like a blast, if steep and brushy.
