Last week on the 16th of February, I had wanted to hike Red Butte Ridge, but after about 40 minutes of hiking it started to snow heavily, and since I wasn't dressed for much snow, I had to put my tail between my legs and return to my vehicle.
Starting to snow pretty good at this point on the 16th. You can no longer see Red Butte above anymore.
Calling it a day.
So today, the 23rd, I headed off to finish what I hadn't completed the previous Sunday.
The west end of Red Butte. I didn't actually come off this side though, as the trail is extremely steep and muddy, and I didn't want
to fall.

Red Butte above. That is where I'll be leaving the ridge after hiking down to the Living Room from the top

Pleasant hiking through the scrub. I had it all to myself.

I love looking through the trees on this hike.

No humans had been along the ridge since our last two storms. I was following a deer's
tracks across the ridge.

Looks like my trail blazing friend the deer was getting something to eat this winter.
I then stopped for a snack, and popped on my Sigma zoom lens to get some shots that I was interested in.

Looking back up, coming off the ridge. My left knee was screaming at me during this decent.
Heading down to the Living Room, with the west end of Red Butte below ( the section of the ridge that I didn't hike due to the steep,
muddy trail coming off of it on the west end.
