Recreating a 1974 Trip

here's a great story in the Idaho Statesman about two brothers recreating a trip to the Big Horn Crags in Idaho they took as teenagers in 1974.

Way cool story. The crags are a hidden gem, off the path....but getting more use. My first trip into there was around 1973. Flew up Ship Island creek from the main river in a USFS helicopter on a wildland fire. The flight at treetop between the many rock spires, in the smoke was surreal. Ended up hiking there a few years later. Exellent trip then. Mostly known only to horse elk hunters back then, more known now but you can still get in places with no people. Had another trip planned last year there but got rained out, still on the books. Unfortuntate because I have little time to repeat trips...
