I'm heading out on a multi-day trip to the Uintas on Saturday with a group of about 8. Flying to Salt Lake on Delta (fingers crossed). Hope to be at the Grandview Trailhead by about 2:30 or 3pm. Our plan is to hike in and go past Granddaddy Lake and find a campsite. We want to avoid the crowds at Granddaddy.
Any recommendations on where to camp the first night or two? By Betsy Lake? Mohawk Lake? Midway to Fish Hatchery lake? I understand the camping distance restrictions. Two of the group will be doing some fishing. That distance would be about our limit given the late start.
Beyond that we are will see where the wind blows us the rest of the week.
