Rained out in Grand Staircase

Thought my first post would be about my recent trip down to the GSE. I had pretty awesome plans to hit up Yellow Rock, White Pocket, the Toadstool Hoodoos and Antelope slot canyons, but due to heavy rain/thunderstorms, I had to change plans. I still got to the hoodoos, but as the rain made the roads difficult to attempt, I went to Bryce instead. Here are some pics from the trip:

Yup - got there on friday night, then woke up at 4:00am saturday to all the lightning. Good times!

yeah, woke up to that same storm around 3am and went to the Wave around 5am. It was so awesome. We camped at Stateline CG

I think I must not be paying attention because I did not see the lightning until I saw SLC Dan's comment. The rest of the pic is so good I guess it was too distracting for me. Nice shot.
