Saturday June the 16th I drove over to Cagles Mill Park here in Indiana. This was a sponsored trip from Hoosier Canoe Club.We met up just off the highway and then went to the public boat ramp. The water was down quite a bit for this trip, but we had no problem paddling along. We paddled about four miles to the lower falls. Got out and took a break and had lunch. Thank you to nice people who fed me cookies. (Watermelon was awesome as well.) From there we hike about a mile to get to the upper falls. Along the way I walked in, or near, the creek bed as much as possible for some really nice scenery.
The return trip was pretty uneventful. This was a very pretty trip. The water was very calm and easy to paddle.

Here are some photos from the trip in no particular order.

Very nice :twothumbs:
I almost bought a canoe last year and I'm still regretting that I passed that one up. Someday soon I hope...

Skip the canoe and go for a kayak, unless you have a family to take with you. Kayaks, are sports cars, canoes are station wagons. Contrary to what some think, kayaks can be just as stable as canoes.
Check Craigslist. I love getting out on the water when I'm not backpacking.
