First trip report I've written on here. I'll keep it simple: mostly pictures. Spur of the moment trip. Bummed and bored at work looking at photos of the mountains and got the itch. I had recently decided I wanted to stay at all the huts throughout the northeast and decided to check one off. Headed up to an easy one: the Jim Liberty Cabin just below the summit of Mt Chocorua. Weather looked good which is especially important for me since all my trips center around staying out all day and night taking photos.
4 miles + 2.7k elevation gain up to the cabin then another .6 miles 600ft up to the summit. Rained a bit as I got up on the ridgeline but otherwise had ideal conditions. When the wind would die down it was almost balmy. One older guy on a long through hike also spent the night in the cabin.
