Wanting to pull the trigger on this lens. Is there a Lightroom Profile, or do you need PTLens software to fix the distortion?

I haven't tried to correct the distortion on my shots. I usually frame my shots so the distortion isn't as noticeable.

Yeah I wish I had jumped on it last month, just bumped up $70. Amazon knows me too well. Bastards.

It looks like Amazon will have it back in-stock on Feb 11 at the $297 price. You can preorder now at that price and they will ship when it comes in.

Perfect. Had to replace my 6D but I got a $300 rebate card, may as well get some new glass.

Tripod, 6D and 24-105 lens all fell off of a boulder while doing some night shots...pitch black, couldn't see a damn thing and I accidentally nudged it, the next thing I hear is "clang, bang, splash"...into the river off of a 6 foot drop. Got the lens fixed for $350 but the body was toast. So I learned a very important lesson...insure your stuff.

Wow, that sucks. Sorry to hear it.

that splash was one of the worst sounds ever. even my dog looked sad.

Camera equipment insurance is dirt cheap. It has saved me a couple of times. And it can be for any reason
(theft, accident), you do not need to justify how it happened.

Added $3/mo to my homeowners insurance to cover the 6D and 24-105mm lens. That's a steal.

The only thing you have to be careful of is if you become a professional in the eyes of the insurance company. If that happens, you have to move it from your homeowners to an 'inland marine' policy which is a little more expensive, but still quite cheap.

Professional. Ha. No worries there!

Maybe not in your mind, but technically the moment you make a dollar of a photo I think is when they could call you a pro and reject your claim. ;)

Gotcha. From now on its under the table, cash only transactions, via a middle man. I got this.
