Question About Number In Red Shown At Top of Main Page

I'm assuming that the numbers in red that show up at the top of the main page indicate new posts? Like this...



If so when I click the down arrow I don't see any way to know where to find those new posts. Am I missing something here?

You'd have to go to the individual forums to see the unread trip report posts. Or you can just click on the 'New Posts' button. It would be great if it showed the forum(s) with the new posts. I'll put that on the wish list.
