Phone Camera Lenses

I'm not nor do I desire to become the artist that many of
you are, so dropping the cash for a quality camera and
lenses isn't something I want to do.

There are several on Amazon that have great reviews and they're pretty cheap - like
less than a hundred bucks.

I'm wondering if anyone has used a phone camera lens before
and what your experience and thoughts are.

Do these lenses give images, while not DSLR quality, better than the native camera
alone will give?
