I met with a couple of people from the Colorado Mountain Club for a hike up North Cheyenne Canyon. The trail to the middle falls is 3.5 miles with moderated amount of traffic. Once we passed the middle falls and kept heading up we only saw one other group of hikers. It was a little over 5 miles to our destination, where we enjoyed some lunch before heading back down. A good percentage of the trail was snow covered, but soft not icy. This was my first ever snow hike. It was amazingly beautiful. The two very experienced hikers could have easily left me in the dust but they were kind enough to hike slow with me.
