Nooby here. I live in Pocatello, ID. I do a lot of backpacking/hiking here in Idaho and in Utah.
I’m currently planning a trip with my family to Bull Valley Gorge in the GSEM over Memorial Day weekend. We were planning on doing the loop to Willis Creek and making a 2 day backpack out of it. Does anyone know what the conditions of the slot in Bull Valley Gorge? Any information is appreciated. Thanks

The road over Bull Valley Gorge has collapsed into the slot. The road is closed for probably quite a while there. I imagine all that debris that fell in has made the slot impassable from that access point. Call the GSENM visitor center in Escalante. They'll know for sure.

Just saw a post on Facebook that the collapse has created a dam in the slot and there is about 8 feet of water for about 200 feet that's pretty cold.

See this right here is one of the very best parts of BCP. Was intending to hike through BVG about two days from now so this beta is gold. Thanks Randy!
