Hi, I am Amy. I am planning a midlife crisis trip ;) in June 2017 to Denali Nation Park. I am doing a three day savage River to Sanctuary River if I get the permit, I want! I am considering pack rafting back down...but no firm decision yet. Happy to be here and all the trip photos that everyone has posted are amazing!

My initial response is awesome(!!!), that should be a great trip. My second response is, if you can, I would delay it until mid-to-late July or later to avoid the mosquito season. The mosquitos in June are typically at their worst. Also, depending on the type of winter/spring we have, the snow levels in June may inhibit a ridge crossing between the 2 drainages. Depending on snow pack, runoff in June can make any stream crossings potentially lethal, even with a packraft.

I don't mean to be a downer on this plan, it will be a great trip for you. Just a few things to consider.
