Noob From Oregon, Wyoming Bound

Greetings,

Just signed up mainly because I plan to spend summer 2020 in Wyoming and Montana, so I'll be lookin for info and suggestions on trip ideas. I'm 54, getting back into serious (for me) backpacking again, lightening my gear, and looking forward to exploring new areas after 20+ years mainly based in the Cascades.

Welcome! What were some of your favorite adventures in the Cascades?

I had a regular rotation of hikes based on the season: Eastern Columbia Gorge and central Oregon in the spring, coast in May for spring chinook, then all over Hood in the summer. Was really starting to branch out to Adams, Indian Heaven, etc. Favorite backpacking areas were Three Sisters (esp. Linton Meadows), north side of Hood, Goat Rocks, and PCT sections.
