Hi, noob living in the flatlands of south Florida. I have done some day hiking and tent camping where you can drive up to the sight but looking to start doing some overnight and multi day hikes.
Reading and learning all I can. I was out in Colorado last year for a multi day trail race and fell in love with the mountains. It was my happy place. I loved being out in nature miles away from people and power lines and traffic.
Starting to gather some lightweight gear.
