Looking like it's going to be a nice weekend around here on the Colorado Plateau and I can't decide what to do?

What are you all going to be up to?

I still can't get around well enough to hike, but I can't take another weekend at home so I'm going down to Glen Canyon to spend a couple nights out on the boat, just me and the dogs. Can't wait to sleep under the stars again and just wander around on some sandstone. Feels like it's been an eternity.

Have you been out to the Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Area/Wilderness Study Area much? There's a lot of trails of varying difficulty, and the chances of seeing a horse or two are really good right now. I'm planning an overnight in the near future, and it's really close to Junction. http://www.blm.gov/style/medialib/b...F.Par.73208.File.dat/littlebookcliffs_web.pdf

I don't know anything about that area, but if you're looking to see wild horses, I ran into a bunch out on McKay Flat in the swell a couple years back. Totally amazing and unforgettable experience. I'd like to go back out there sometime and see if I can find them again. Terrible roads when they are wet though.

Nice pictures! Mine's just a cell phone pic, but I definitely saw this guy pretty close up in the Book Cliffs. He didn't pay me any mind at all, and I didn't try to get any closer.

I do go to the Bluff Balloon Festival again.
There is still tons of stuff in the area I haven't seen. And for my hiking abilities this is just the right weekend trip.
