A quick hike up Mount Aire this morning.

Trail near the trailhead

Lots of berries on this hike

03.jpg
A peak through the trees

04.jpgThe fall colors aren't very radiant this year, bu the yellows were the most impressive along the way

05.jpg
The maples were a disappointment, but this one had some red in it

06.jpg
Elderberries anyone?

07.jpg
Dead conifer on the ridge

I-80 snaking its way towards @Artemus' abode

Some fall colors and Wildcat Ridge with Twin Peaks way in the distance

Nice share!
sadly the maples are mostly just drying up instead of going down in a blaze of glory...

Nice photos @scatman ! A little disappointed that you didn't provide a narrative for this hike ... :stomp:

I just assumed folks were getting tired of my narratives. :p I'm glad you enjoy them.

Not much to tell on this one. I played almost 2.5 hours of basketball on Saturday morning, so my knees were screaming at me on the steep part of this hike yesterday. Let's see....., I was kiltless on this hike and it was extremely windy when I got up top. So much so that it nearly blew my bicycle cap all the way to @Artemus' house. I didn't see any wildlife other than two scrub jays that were squawking at me on my way down.

@Dave and I were hiking not far from you the day before. We saw two parties of hunters. You ?

@Artemus - Yes, as I started up the trail, a single hunter passed me heading back to his vehicle. When I returned to the trailhead their was a truck parked there that I assumed belonged to another hunter(s), though I didn't see him/them on the trail. Maybe they hiked up towards Lambs Canyon instead of Mount Aire.
