Millcreek Ridge - July 3, 2015

Glad to know someone else attempted this. My hat is off to you! You know we found a water cache east of the rocky peak you mentioned. Was it yours? It probably would have been easier for you just to continue to Murdock. There were only two short bushwhacks the rest of the way. The rest of the ridge you would have had no problem.
no, not my water stash. if I'd seen one I would have surely check for a first aid kit. haha. @ the end of may of this year, I took an overly-ambitious stab at completing the MURL (millcreek ultimate ridge linkup), relying on my mini jetboil to refill my camelback with meltwater from the ridgline cornice/snow patches.
huh, great, that's good to know that it would have been much easier to traverse out to Murdoch than to slide/thrash through my way down ~1000' vert through a dense patch of oak/mahogany forest to reach millcreek... :timebomb:

if there ever is a next attempt, I'd glady pay you with a couple 1/5th of whiskey to shoulder carry me through all the patches of hate:D

You're right..................................the frown looks better

Sounds like Matt is getting soft. He must be playing too much golf.

Awesome report. You've done some tough trips this year. The Gros Ventre trip will be a piece of cake compared to everything else.

Yeah, Matt needs to start stepping it up! :)

Any backpacking trip that involves a trail has to be a step in the right direction!
