This is a short trip report from a day hike I took a week ago. Langer Lake is in the Salmon-Challis NF, about 25 miles NW of Stanley. I believe the streams here flow into the Middle Fork Salmon River. I'd say the trail is easy to moderate, although it is uphill most of the way and due to the lack of shade in several sections I wouldn't hike this trail in the middle of a hot summer afternoon. Much of the area around these lakes burned about 25 years ago and and then again about 4 years ago and you'll see some of the results of those fires in these pictures. Also, my wife likes to see pictures of our dog from my trips so he is in most of these.DSC00266.JPGDSC00258.JPGDSC00267.JPGDSC00263.JPG DSC00286.JPGDSC00269.JPG DSC00293.JPG

@leatherman Hi! Do you remember if there were very many places to pitch a tent at Langer Lake? Wondering as we will have about 12 folks going in.
