Progression along the Salt Lake foothills brought us to Jack's Mountain this morning. Of course, there had to be some drama as when I arrived at the trailhead and opened up the hatch of the Subaru, I realized that I had left my daypack at home and had to turn around and go back and get it.

While this hike is a short one, it is steep, gaining roughly 1240 feet in 1.05 miles. I was looking forward to see how my knee would handle this at this point of my recovery.

On our way down, we took a different tail that I had never done before which let us cover some new terrain.

Busy at the trailhead this morning. It didn't help that I had to go retrieve my daypack form home. :( The guy in the green shorts
ahead started out with us, but quickly left us in the dust. We notice that he was summiting multiple times and on our way back to
our car we stopped and talked to him as he was gearing up to summit for the fifth time. What a machine!

The Canon 6D Mark II was the camera of choice on this hike, along with the Canon PowerShot SX530 HS

Now some fun with the fisheye lens that I hauled to the top.

So how was your knee during and after this adventure?

The knee did reasonably well on the way up, but got a little sore on the way down. It had snowed here a couple of days ago and the trail down was a bit muddy and slick from the melted snow, not ideal conditions for my knee.

That picture of you on your back on Jack's Mountain reminds me of the Artemis II astronauts for some reason. I heard a rumor that they were going to do the BCP salute when they do the moon flyby in a couple of days.

I once had a Canon 6D Mark II. It was a fine camera and I sold it to my Fedex guy when I got my Canon R7 (he delivered the new camera and saw Canon on the box and we got to talking). Easiest sale I ever made, but sometimes I miss that camera.

They better be giving the BCP salute on the dark side of the moon!

I like the 6D Mark II. It takes really nice photos that I can't even screw up. :) Have you still got your R7?
