Idiots in the Parks

I was going to add this to the Art in the Parks thread, but then I realized it wasn't quite the same (well, besides the mentality of those involved).

Anyway... now idiots have pushed over an iconic rock formation along the Oregon Coast:

Why do people do this. It just baffles me that people are this stupid sometimes. "My buddy broke his leg because of this rock" it more than likely wasn't the rocks fault and why do you have to topple the rock, if you are that gung ho about it just add a sign or something that will be taken down within a day. Just a sad sad situation.
