Didn't I say something bad about this point ?????

Yeah, it was something like "I know a shortcut"....

or was it "it didn't look at all like this on Google Earth"...

Lucky for me, it was your trip, and you were leading.

How was road access into that range? I've been wanting to get into the Pahsimeroi Valley for a while but am not sure I can make it in my car, it seems it has very difficult access.

The main Little Lost River valley road is 50mph gravel. Pass creek, Doublespring yes, but more gravel. Generally I'd say you could get a car to the mouth of most of the canyons, some with a little more work...like Wet Creek, Bear Creek. Haven't been up many others. The west side the access roads are a lot rougher. Probably a car to the Borah TH access, it looked graded. Don't quote me though if something would break.

Cool thanks for the info. Most of the good stuff seems to be accessed from the east side anyway.

Subaru type car probably work, Honda Civic probably not. Yep, west side is the uplifted fault face, east side has longer canyons and ridges. Still very rugged. Water is the problem up high, most springs are down low. Rock slopes you see on GE are talus, some stable some not . Most about softball size. Black bears are around. Summitpost has some info as well.

The Shadow Lakes area is one spot I have been looking at, veyr pretty and isolated. From summit post it sounds like you are out of luck without a high clearance vehicle though.

Cool thanks for the info. Most of the good stuff seems to be accessed from the east side anyway.
I think @Bob 's trip report is going to show some good "goods" we accessed from the west/south side. We came out the east and looped back. Pretty much all good roads where we went.
